The Tipalt is a delightfully situated compact sandstone crag a couple of kilometres north east of Greenhead. The rock is good quality and the starts of the routes are quite steep for their grade. These overhanging starts provide for some quite good bouldering.

History:
The crag was discovered by Alan Stark and developed by members of Eden Valley M. C. in early 1976. .
