This shows standard caving gear: nylon overalls, gloves, boots, a helmet, and two lights mounted on the helmet (although in this photo, he has three). The carbide light on the front of the helmet is more typical of European cavers, though most cavers worldwide are now largely using LED based headlamps. Kneepads are built into the lower part of these overalls, but most cavers use external kneepads. His pack with extra gear, emergency supplies is securely strapped to his back
