Bradys Crag

Approach

Park at the St Oswalds Chapel lay by. Follow the public footpath around the right hand side of the church. Pass through or climb over the derelict gate. Down the hill to your right you will see a red brick structure. Head for this and a stile will become visible beside it. Cross the fence and follow the track to the left past the gorse and the crag will be seen on the right. 5 to 10 minutes from the layby.

Routes

The freestanding boulder is about 5m high. The Northern side is relatively easy angled. The Southern side is where the problems are located. They are all close, but very entertaining. From left to right:
   5c    The left hand arete
  Magaret?s Cross 3+ 6a    Past the cross
4+ 6b    The blunt bulge in the centre
The Overhang 3+ 6a    The overhang direct to the hold on the right hand blunt ar?.
Ungraded     The right hand side of the overhang with hands on the blunt edge
5c    The smooth left hand side of the slab. The remainder of the slab can be climbed at will.
3 5b    The blunt ar? behind the boulder is both longer and more difficult than it looks.
Some 200m east are some bald slabs. One problem has been climbed on the right hand side of the second slab, about 6a. These slabs will offer some difficult problems to someone who can figure how to clean them. The established problem was cleaned ?on the go?.
