General:
A smaller brother to Bowden Doors. Until the upsurge in bouldering the crag was rarely visited, despite a fine route and it's proximity to Bowden Doors. Now that over 60 boulder problems have been documented in the Bouldering Guide the crag gets more visits, but the routes still get neglected
Rock:
Fell Sandstone Carboniferous, Dinantian
Good
Access issues:
Northern section on CROW land
History:
The pre-bouldering history is unknown (anyone know?). The bouldering was developed in preparation for the Bouldering Guide by most of the guidebook team. Sand Lizard was climbed in May 1998 by Steve Crowe and Karin Magog
