From Rothley Crossroads on the B6342, go west towards Hexham/Elsdon for a couple of hudred yards and then turn right up a gated single track road. Keep going up this road for 2km until you reach the car park for Greenleighton Quarry. A right of way to Greenleighton Moor leaves the car park at a gate near where you came in. Follow this and the Old Quarry soon comes into view on the right.

General:
A misfit in Northumberland - 250 metre long 5 metre high clean cut vertical limestone quarried walls. There are many problems in the simple to VS range over good landings, and they are really quite good fun. Certainly worth a visit for bouldering at up to VS.
Rock:
Great Limestone Carboniferous Dinantian(Middle Limestone Group)
Rather better than it looks, but check for loose blocks on the finishes.
Routes/Bouldering:
Routes:
None, unless you count 5 metre walls as routes, in which case there is no bouldering.
Problems:
Many low grade wall problems, probably not worth recording as they are all very much of a sameness. Just get out there and have fun.
Other interesting stuff:
The climbing is on a 19th Century quarry, the large quarry just over the top is an SSSI on account of the fossils.
History:
The crag has never been a secret, but no one has ever owned up to climbing on it until 2004 when John Dalrymple & Steve Gray had a bumble around.
